Opponents of ‘no-deal’ Brexit defeat British PM Johnson in parliament

Opponents of a no-deal Brexit have defeated
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson in parliament. The UK Prime Minister lost a vote in the House
of Commons by a margin of 27 votes on Tuesday night, local time… after an emergency debate
on his no-deal Brexit plan. Tuesday’s victory will allow lawmakers to
put forward a bill looking to force Johnson to ask the EU to delay Brexit until January
31st. In response, the Prime Minister says he will
table a vote for an early general election on Wednesday.
