  2. Helpful tips. It's something most people don't understand, basic economics and the question of value. Creators need to know their value.

  3. Really valuable info, Roberto! I get approached by brands very often, but still didn't find a perfect fit. Your advice on how to handle pricing fit me perfectly

  4. My man Roberto, thank you for this. I feel like this is a direct answer to my previous questions.

Can I make you something to eat?

Thanks for this information as always!!!

  8. Yes, I'd love to see the YouTube kit and I definitely need more information on how to put together a media kit.

  9. I love watching your stuff learning a lot just git are first Subscribers

  10. This couldn't have come at a better time. I followed the advice on affiliate marketing and it's helped when I talk about the Naruto novels, because people used the links to buy them. I wanted to learn more about brand deals and sponsorships, but wasn't sure how to go forward with it. I can't wait to watch this one.

  11. I know this sounds crazy but i have failed to find any peers or any similar content creators as me. I found a market that noone was in and filled it. Thus, I dont know how to find any peers etc.

  12. I'm rather proud to be looking at your content been as I'm growing & haven't reached, reached, reached as yet and not wait till' then looking for advice. I know my YouTube is small & I haven't reached (again) that far as yet but along with everything you said, we should never be afraid to ask questions. Because it's our own personal money & business we're dealing with & it should be worth it for that particular of time. Like I've mentioned before I'm a very small YouTube & haven't reached (for the fifth time) that far as yet. Soooo questionnnnn! Would it make sense to be working with sponsorships & brand dealers within your country/region with just a few subscribers? I literally have 65 subs' & I'm always working on building my audience. It's been on my mind for a while now and i would say it's conditional for me but what do you think of it? I really do hope you see this on a real. Thanks for your great content. It helps a lot๐Ÿ’ฏ

  13. The idea of eating what you kill is what I stand for. Now the question is, how do you get these managers that help with brands and we split money on those brands? No way I am giving anyone my ad revenue. I work hard to grow this channel and no person except me will have access to that.

  14. Yes please… Please add the media kit to your start-up package. I was thinking this when you made your video on it…. Thanks for the content ๐Ÿ™‚

  15. I heard this from Dan Lok with regards to copywriting. When he was hired as a copywriter, he asked them if he could speak to a few of their best customers, those customers were asked why they decided to purchase from this company, which gave him a very accurate customer avatar, so that he knew how to create better converting copy.

  16. Didn't you release your media kit for download somewhere? Is it on your website? I meant to look at it when I heard you say that (unless I'm imagining it. Lol!), but I must have not been able to get to it at the time :/

  17. I really like when you differentiate between selling based upon your subscribers and selling based upon the services that you provide, like an ad agency. Great video, Roberto!

  18. Thanks. I'm gonna try and get a sponsorship within the next month hopefully with this as I'm gonna try and push myself.

  19. I learned you have more tools for creators to negotiate with sponsors than I ever expected. I so appreciate your willingness to share your knowledge on so many levels with us!

  20. Make a video on how to make โ€œfriendsโ€ that do YouTube. I hit people up and I just get ghosted. Have 10 k on insta still get ghosted

  21. Great information. First assignment for myself is to write down companies I would to work with ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ

  22. Keyline – WORK and CHARGE like an AGENCY! I have never thought about it in this manner. Think like a creative agency. Wow! Thank you, Roberto!

  23. Brand deals and sponsorships feel like selling out to me. I need to keep my cred high for my content.

  24. I really appreciate you Roberto for engaging with your subscribers in the comments. My biggest takeaway in this video, network with people in your niche and don't under value yourself.

  25. I learned I have a lot of work to do lol and one question i now have is whats a pricing card? and is where anyone that you know that looks at media kits to give feedback? I have a website and all that stuff as well but have no idea if im doing any of the business stuff right.

  26. QOTD response:
The thing about raising your public profile was what I really learned from this. I feel I have a very decent book in my niche in me (because most people in my niche are actually hopeless writers, so the competition isn't too strong) so yeah I think I'm going to spend the summer (I'm in Australia, so it's summer) taking action on all these tips and trying to raise my public profile.
Also guys I have a tip for you:
If you are THINKING about doing all of these things and you've been THINKING for a while, then DO it. When you just feel like DOING all the time, and your instinct is to DO, then you should take some time and THINK. When you're instinct is to THINK, you should DO. Most people think too much, let's all DO something.

  27. Thank you, my channel is getting bigger…so this is essential information.

  28. Your videos are very helpful. Thank you for giving such type for content creators like me.

  29. I really appreciate the amazing content, I don't even really care about my yt channel but I still watch the vids. Quality content!

  30. Love the idea of a media kit template!
Fantastic advice about how to value yourself; it included several perspectives that I hadnโ€™t considered before – thank you!

  31. I learned quite a lot from this video, it shed some light on loads of confusing things about sponsorships which is great. The fact you are upfront and honest in the way you present tips is why I keep watching your videos. Thank you Roberto ๐Ÿ‘

  32. When the time come, I'll charge them how I charge my design clients – definitely not by reach. Very good video!

  33. You are such a wealth of knowledge. Thank you. I watch all your videos – but this one was really good. Iโ€™m starting to work on self worth.
For a long time making money out of something I love (youtube) was so conflicting for me. Vidsummit 2019 however has taught me otherwise. So Iโ€™m grateful for videos like this video and for the advice.
    Thanks

  34. Good work on explaining the detailed business side of expanding revenue streams in the creator space.

  35. Really good video thank you.

From this I reinforced my belief that your value as a creator is very important and remembering not to undersell yourself. Also to remain flexible in how you approach the whole process.

I received value on a video I did when I had just two subscribers with the video being used as a product testimonial on a clients website.

  36. I've been watching you for 3 years but you're killing it with this new style of videos! So many helpful and insightful points I never considered as a new creator, especially trying to find fellow influencers who can be transparent! Thank you for everything you do ๐Ÿ™‚

  37. I was literally binge watching videos on this topic all week. THANK YOU ROBERTO!! ๐Ÿ–ค

  38. Ive learnt that its not as easy as it sounds to get brand deals..A lot of work has to be put in for a brand to trust someone to represent it. Thanks Roberto

  39. I learned that I should do some research on how to write a proposal. Also, my niche has built an increasingly active relationship among the creators so I have an opportunity to reach out to ask them about money.

  40. Thank you for this info. Also, I'd live more derails on how to create a professional media kit, please.

  41. I definitely need to get my media kit going! I appreciate the value you give freely in this video.

  42. Very useful information. Iโ€™ve had moderate success on LinkedIn as a creator and want to expand to YouTube. Info such as the idea that itโ€™s possible to get Sponsorships and the use of a Media Kit are huge. This shows me this is far closer to an actual business with metrics and deliverables vs just a random hobby.
    Thanks Roberto for the content.
    Ghozt.

  43. I find that itโ€™s very frustrating to see people inflate their numbers and likes using botsโ€” that ultimately negatively impact their analytics/engagement. Do companies and brands know that influencers do that? What is your opinion on this?

  44. This is super valuable Roberto! I'll add creating a media kit to my list of to-dos. A template would be super helpful!!

  45. I learned that applying my experience instead of just follower numbers to my media kit will boost my negotiability

  46. Roberto, thank you! All your videos are helpful to me as I understand business and social media. I have information that helps me to make better decisions! The information that resonated with me today was when you talked MLN negotiations. I would have never known what percentage to ask for. I am definitely aware of MLNs because some creators have talked about the pros and cons of working with MLNs. Thank you so much!

Could you please add the Media kit template to the YouTube Starter kit?

  47. I learnt, I need to find some close friends/collabs on YT, don't know how thought but will get to it.

  48. Great advice as always. Thanks for all of you amazing tips to help us succeed. Have a blessed weekโ˜บ๐Ÿ‘.

  49. It doesn't make any sense how many videos you have and how long you been doing this but the Subs dont match keep going hard and grinding big brother get to the Quazo

  50. Iโ€™d love to get that template. Since leaving vidsummit i want to focus on collabs.

  51. Stellar advise as always Robert! I didnโ€™t think of the media kit although it makes sense to prepare for those future deals as your channel grows. Appreciate you! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝ

  52. Solid video. Iโ€™m remaking my media kit after seeing yours at VidSummit. You definitely raised the bar. ๐Ÿ”ฅ

  53. Great advice. Essentially you need to remember that youโ€™re running a small business, with services, clients, proposals, marketing, all that stuff.

  54. What did I learn from this video? I am way off the mark and I have a ton to learn still.

  55. Yes yes yes to the media kit! Planning ahead….would love to not have to recreate the wheel on that one. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜Ž

  56. Wow, truly had never thought of my potential channel value like that, the comparison to getting paid making an ad for an agency with 0 social media followers really was light a lightbulb going off in my head, very well explained.

  57. โคโคโค THANK YOU for this video! I learned a little more about charging but I'm still unclear on the details of who do we reach out to or how do we ask for a brand sponsorship in a professional way? Im also not sure on the the norms of working with a brand like how much or say they have for a video.
I also learned I need to order a one on one with you. Thank you for making this video.

  58. So much value in this video. Thanks for sharing these tips and elaborating more on each one.

  59. How Iโ€™m I seeing a lot of sponsored profiles of like little 10-17 year old kids
